HT Flux: Flux Paste

HT Flux Paste is a high-temperature brazing white paste flux for copper, copper alloys, mild steel, low-alloy steel, and tungsten carbide. It has an activity range of 750°C to 1200°C and is best suited for induction brazing. It is also a good choice for brazing tungsten carbide tools. The flux has high activity and a long flux life for work within its stated temperature range.

High Temperature Flux Paste for Brazing

HT Flux is made as a paste for high-temperature brazing work. It can be used with different metals, including copper and steel, as well as tungsten carbide.

The product is suitable for:

  • Copper

  • Copper alloys

  • Mild steel

  • Low-alloyed steel

  • Tungsten carbide

HT Flux is especially suited for induction brazing heating. It can also be used for brazing tungsten carbide tools.

Activity Range of HT Flux

HT Flux has an activity range of 750°C to 1200°C. This makes it a high-temperature flux paste for applications that fall within this range.

The product has high activity and a long flux life. These properties are listed for use at higher working temperatures.

Residue Removal After Brazing

HT Flux leaves non-corrosive residues after use. The residue should still be removed from the brazed area after the work is complete.

The recommended cleaning process is:

  • Remove the residue mechanically.

  • Soak the area in hot sodium hydroxide solution.

  • Brush the area under hot water.

This process helps remove the remaining flux from the brazed joint.

HT Flux Paste for High-Temperature Work

HT Flux Paste is made for high-temperature brazing of copper, copper alloys, mild steel, low-alloyed steel, and tungsten carbide. Its 750°C to 1200°C activity range makes it suitable for the stated high-temperature applications.

The product is best suited for induction brazing and can also be used for brazing tungsten carbide tools. It works with RBCuZn filler alloys and copper-based high-temperature alloys containing cobalt, nickel, and manganese.

With high activity and a long flux life, High Temperature Flux Paste is available as a white paste in a 1000 g pack. Its residues are non-corrosive and can be removed through mechanical cleaning, hot sodium hydroxide soaking, and brushing under hot water.

For applications that require High Temperature Flux Paste, HT Flux provides a product option with an activity range of 750°C to 1200°C and an EN 1045 FH 21 specification.
