Aluminum Brazing / Gas Welding Fluxes

JO FLUX® offers Aluminum welding flux products for aluminium and its alloys. The range includes four powder fluxes: Aluweld, Alubraze, Flxal, and Flxal-L. These products cover activity ranges from 450°C to 650°C. As Aluminium Brazing Flux Manufacturers, we provide fluxes for pure aluminium, aluminium alloys, and aluminium-stainless steel joining. Each Aluminum welding flux has its own use, temperature range, and filler alloy options.

Aluweld Flux Powder for Aluminium

Aluweld is a gas welding powder flux for aluminium and its alloys. It is suitable for joining pure aluminium castings that do not contain zinc. The product has an activity range of 550–650°C and is used with pure aluminium filler rod AL1188.

Key details include:

  • Suitable for aluminium and its alloys

  • For pure aluminium castings without zinc

  • Used with pure aluminium filler rod

  • Full fusion technique

  • Neutral flame

  • High activity

  • Good fluidity

  • Based on AWS A5.31M: FB1-A

  • Standard packing: 500 g

Alubraze Flux Powder for Aluminium Alloys

Alubraze is an all-purpose chloride-fluoride-based powder flux for welding and brazing sheet and cast aluminium. It has an activity range of 550–650°C. It is used mainly with gas-oxygen torches and can also be used for selected induction and furnace applications.

Filler Alloy Options

Alubraze is suitable for aluminium, aluminium-magnesium, and aluminium-silicon alloys. The product can be used with these filler alloy groups:

  • AL1188 for pure aluminium

  • AL4043 with 5% silicon

  • AL5356 with 5% magnesium

The company states that Alubraze dissolves oxide on the base metal, helps eliminate porosity, and promotes a strong joint. It is based on AWS A5.31M: FB1-A and is available in 500 g and 20 kg packs.

Flxal Flux Powder for Aluminium Brazing

Flxal is an active chloride-fluoride-based aluminium brazing powder flux. Its activity range is 500–650°C. It is used for aluminium alloys with a maximum of 1.5% magnesium and 1% silicon. It can also be used for joining aluminium to stainless steel.

The product is most suitable for:

  • Radiators

  • Air-conditioning systems

  • Household appliances

  • Electrical appliances

  • Electrical heating systems

  • Transformer bus bars

Flxal is used mainly with gas-oxygen torches. Selected induction and furnace applications are also listed. It is based on EN1045 FL10 and is used with AL4047, a 12% silicon aluminium filler alloy.

Flxal-L Low-Temperature Flux Powder

Flxal-L is a chloride-fluoride-based low-temperature powder flux for aluminium and its alloys. Its activity range is 450–600°C, the lowest range in this four-product group.

Filler Alloy and Product Details

Flxal-L is used with aluminium alloys containing a maximum of 1.5% magnesium and 1% silicon. It works with flame and selected induction brazing systems.

Its key details include:

  • Excellent capillary action and fluidity

  • Complete spread of the brazing alloy around the joint

  • AL4047 filler alloy

  • AL4045 filler alloy

  • AL4145 filler alloy

  • Proprietary flux formulation

  • Standard packing: 250 g and 500 g

Aluminium Brazing Flux Manufacturers for Different Needs

As Aluminium Brazing Flux Manufacturers, JO FLUX® provides four powder products with different temperature ranges and applications. The range includes Aluminum welding flux for pure aluminium, aluminium alloys, and aluminium-stainless steel joining.

The activity ranges are:

  • 450–600°C: Flxal-L

  • 500–650°C: Flxal

  • 550–650°C: Aluweld

  • 550–650°C: Alubraze

The flux residues from these products are water-soluble but corrosive. They must be removed after welding or brazing. The company recommends cleaning with dilute nitric acid, followed by cold-water and hot-water rinsing. Aluminium Brazing Flux Manufacturers JO FLUX® provides these products in different pack sizes for their listed applications.
