Jo flux® is 20 year old orgnisation engaged in providing one stop solution in welding, brazing & soldering fluxes. We deliver customized, industry based solution for metal joining process in refrigeration & air conditioning, tool making, automotive, plant construction & plumbing industry.

It is our policy not to simply recommend and supply sutiabel fluxes-but also to advice you on how to construct your workpiece so that it is suitabel for brazing/soldering process. We can also advice on selection of brazing/soldering consumbeals, brazing machines & furnaces.

History/About Us

Started as distributors (trading unit) for non ferrous brazing alloys in indian market.

Jo flux sets up in bhosari, pune region (about 15 km from pune city) with new building to manufacture industrial soldering fluxes..

Sets up state of the art laboratary and r. & d. Division.

Thanks to r&d division, the industrial soldering flux range is expanded to new products in electronic soldering flux & brazing flux.

Sets up new plant in khadakwasala, pune region (about 12 km from pune city) with new building to manufacture inorganic chemistry base raw material (chemicals) requierd in manufacturing brazing & soldering fluxes.

Bhosari plant starts exclusive production of electronic soldering fluxes (organic chemistry base).

Started manufacturing of new genration brazing fluxes free of boric acid & borax.

Flux Properties Technical Considerations

Mix readily with water to form a smooth paste free from coarse crystals.

Retain its paste form for a reasonable time and be capable of being re-mixed if it dries out.

Wet the work to which it is applied as an aqueous paste.

Cover the work adequately while in the stage of being dried by heating, without separating to exposed islands of bare metal.

Remain on vertical surface when fused.

Melt at a lower temperature than the melting point of brazing material to be used with it.

Be capable of dissolving the oxides of the metals on which it is used.

Retain low viscosity to permit its ready displacement from capillary gaps by brazing material.

Have a reasonably long life without tiring when brazing operations are prolonged.

Have residues which are easy to remove.


Unfortunately it is not possible to combine all these properties in a universal flux capable of satisfactory performance at low & high temperature and with all base metals. The JO FLUX range of fluxes does however; cater for most circumstances which arise in low & high brazing temperature operations on a wide variety of materials.



Flux Selection Technical Considerations

Appropriate selection of flux has to be made to reach optimum brazing results on the joint choosing among several types of fluxes according to many technical factors are:

Heating method

Filler & base metals

Production quantities

Acceptable working temperature

Clearance and joint design of joint

Heating cycle time (over heating possibilities)

Flux removal
